November 4th 1915

To day we again start for Mandalay

we were out of bed at 5-30.

Breakfast at 6-7. All in at 7- &

march away at 7-30 nothing unusual

happened on the journey it was just

the usual monotonous train ride.

----------------------

Arrived at Mandalay about 2-o-clock.

& at once went into barracks lately

occupied. by the 91st Punjabs I must

say that these Bungalows were absolutely

filthy & as we had to sleep on the floor

the first thing we could do was to start

& clean up. after about 1 hours work we

had the Bungalows in a fairly decent

condition, but the worst thing about it

is that immediately opposite is a set of

native cook houses, & it is impossible
