To day we again entered upon the old

routine Revielle at 5-30 Before Breakfast

we had 1 hours Phisical Drill Then Breakfast

the had to dress for Inspection for Guard by

the Adjutant  If you pass this Inspection you

can consider yourselves very lucky as this

is one of the worst we have to contend

with.  Anyhow we managed to pass it

all right. The Guard consists of six men

& one Sergent Two men taking Guard at

once of two hours stretch That is two hours

on & four hours off. This we do untill

9-o-clock the next morning when you are

relieved by the next days Guard.  It is

not a bad job except during the night

when it is very cold & this night we as usual

managed to have a storm which of course

added to our discomfort.
