I had this job for a full 24 hours.

Fri Feb 5 1915

To day we had a rotten job digging trenches

round the Barracks and when we had

finished our poor hands were covered with

Blisters and we were quite pleased to be able

To have a good bathe afterwards.

Sat Feb 6 1915

We have had another day on Bush Drill

but had to come back on account of the

rain. When I got back I was delighted to hear

that I had a box waiting for me from home

and what a bust up I had little Jack Horner was

not in it with me I eat cakes & smoked cigarettes

until I began to feel quite bad. To day

we were also given mosquito nets to sleep

under these a made just like a large
