Looked magnificent. We then had to

March Back & Had Dinner about 1-o-clock

having been 7 ½ hours without Food or

drink under a Blazing sun.

 

Dec 16 1914

To Day for a change we started to

Work after cleaning everything we went

on Parade at 7-o-clock Had 1 hour

Drill Then came back to Breakfast of

Dry Bread & Tea went out & did

another 8 Hours Drill so we are not

hard worked when you think you have

about 40 lb on your back besides a

9 ½ lb Rifle in your Hands. Just heard

That the first batch of letters are to

be Delivered on Friday the 18th

everybody is very excited & counting hours

Many letters they are going to get I

expect about a Dozen.
