Dec 1st 1914

To Day saw the unusual sight of men

gambolling for Bread they played after

the style of Banker. Arrived at Bombay

Dec 2nd 1914

The ship sailed into Port & we went

On shore. The Natives Here are just the

Same as at Aden. Very Bad Looking &

Very thin the women working wilst the

men lounged about. I forgot to say that

on the Descado we had to sleep the

best we could some in Hammocks some

on the Tables but most on the Floor.

To night however we had to sleep like

The Natives with no covering at all.

Scores of Natives sleep on the Dock

sides at Night.
