Breakfast = Coffee - Bread & Fish
Dinner = Meat - potatoes & Soup
Tea = Bread - Tea & jamSaturday.
Breakfast = Coffee - Bread - Rice & Curry
Dinner = Meat - potatoes & Soup
Tea = Tea Bread & Marmalade
The Fish - Rice & Curry had to be stopped as it was not fit to eat & no one would touch it. The coffee was very bitter it was hardly fit to drink. The potatoes were boiled just as they had been dug up. The only things fit for any one to touch was the bread & porridge but we did not get half enough each man only having 4 oz. of bread. There were only 2 wash basins supplied to serve 300 men. -
