  My Dear Nan I now take the pleasure of droping

  you another line I escpect that you will have got my

  other letter by this time I am glad to tell you that I

  am quite well at present but have had a cold in my

  kidneys but feel better now + I hope that you + the boys

  are quite well I don't know when I shall get to come

  home as there are only 20 out of our Batt + one of them is

  an Officer I only wish that the War was over so that I could

  come home for good well my Dear I had a letter from

  Reg and he says that he is going to send you another
