my Dear I was out last night working
putting barb wire down until
12 midnight so you see I have not got
much rest we are on the go night + day
out hear I wish it would soon come to
a end I hope your Jack as never to
come out hear he will know it if he
does the same as we know Well my love
you keep asking me when I am comeing
home I only wish I could tell you it
is a thing none of us knows yet you
may depend I shall let you know
as soon has I get to know I only
wish it was now + for good there are
thousand of men coming out every
week now we have had 2 nice days
now proper warm + we are ready for
it we have had some bitter cold weather
lately what sort of weather are you

are many thousands that is not, There
are Cemitarys every where out hear but,
I have not seen any ones name that I
know the graves are looked after
very well under the certcomstances
Well Nan I am glad my boys liked
there cards they must look after them
until dady comes home They cost y^d each
+ I am glad the the Minister + others
are inquireing after me you must tell
them that I am alive + kicking up til
now + hoping that I shall keep so
