  My Dear Nan I got your letter
  

  + Parcle the same time on Friday
  

  night I have just come out of
  

  the trenches again for a weeks
  

  rest + we want it to as we have
  

  had a warm time of it since
  

  we have been in but thank God
  

  that I am safe up till now
  

  I am feeling very weak as I have
  

  not been able to eat anything
  

  for 3 days I have been suffering
  

  with tooth ake I have had to
  

  have another one out one of my
  

  front so that dont leave me with
  

  many now + the food we get
  

  wont keep one of my boys alive
