..in faded black ink 59
You will find an alteration in the garden on you Return.
I have remade the Long Patch at the Bingley Road
side of the Garden + put down a heavy coping. on the low
side of the path on the opposite side. I have made a
..orkey. the full length including the greater part of the
the hen run this is about 3-0 Wide and about 2-0 high.
This has risen the level of the Beds very considerably
and I have lowered the top end where they form the
..Lawn. about 2-0 all the old fruit trees + the Sycamore
in the centre are either down or coming down (also the
poplar in the Kitchen garden +1 at least if not 3
in the Hen Run) The old Rockery by the Slide +the path
at the side are now included in the Bed which looks
as big again- I intend planting the first bed with Rasps
the Middle with Currant Bushes +the next with gooseberries
on the low side of the path I intend fixing
a fence +have ordered Logan Berries for here from The
Coop Nursery-I am ordering 40 Logan Fruit Trees for
the fence alongside hen run on the top of the 3 Beds
I am going to Break up another
about 3ft wide +fix another fence upon which I propose to have another lot
of Fruit trees something like this.
...an ink drawing which consists of 3 equal size rectangles filled with , from left to right, an arch way, three trees with 4 two inch vertical lines at equal distance crossing them, a similar size rectangle with 14 diagonal lines and the third box contains three figures that appear to be trees. There is some writing that looks like they are labels for the drawing but they are too faint to read
The old currant Bushes in Kitchen Garden are coming out
+I intend having fruit trees on the walls instead
The Rasps now on Hall side I intend taking out
+ Replacing with Blackberries. So you see things will
eventually look much different (We will now leave the garden)
