  My Dear Son

      I am somewhat surprised  upon hurry up my

  letter Book to find that I have not written you since

  Sept 24th + intended replying to yours of Oct 4th last

  week but I have been so busy for the last  fortnight in

  the garden every day after dinner till dark + not going

  to Bfd at all on Saturdays that when I had got sat

  down I did not feel rs much inclined for correspondence

  Mother +  Being alone on Sunday night I sat down to

  write you but Mr Lister called before I made a Start

  Staying about 2 hrs when it felt to late to begin I particulaly

  wanted to see him has I had decided  to buy the house

  at the best prie possible but would not do better than

  take the option which  I held of a L1000
