   Dear Mother

           Just a few of line

hoping you are all

keeping quite well at

home. I am pleased

to let you know I 

am quite safe + well

at the time of writing

I have been expecting

a letter from you a

fortnight now as I

wrote to you thanking

you for the money

you sent me, but

I expect you will

not have recieved it

or else I should have

heard from you
