Etaples - you have saved them some time
haven't you. Yes if I had seen you on
the bucket I should have nipped you well
and pulled your ears nearly off. It
will be grand to plague you again with
the old tricks - What do you say? "Oh!
chuck it." I shall only go on all the more
Bow-wow. I am going to have no
impertinence from you. Your mother says
she is going to tell you all tales of
me when you come. But I wish you
to bring many "pinches of salt with you"
They will be needed.
When I read out this sentence from
your letter "my legs are rapidly getting stronger
again" your mother said "Poor lad they
were weak after scarlet fever."
I shall send you papers and a watch
wristlet protector tomorrow, but shall I be
able to get the right size - perhaps I had
better wait.
Do I remember the dells on the way
from Cayton? Rather laddie - they were
"Kiss Corners" weren't they. We used to have
fits lest any one should see us didn't
we. I can just feel your arms round me
