  Dear Brother!

   

  Please accept a warm greetings and a fond memory from me. How are you faring? Me, well you know how it goes at war. You were at the wine harvest and I haven´t even tasted a single grape, nothing is here, only wasteland. I was also sick yesterday, but I am healthy today. The weather has been awful here for many days now, it always rains. That card from you took 6 days to arrive but you wrote wrong feldpost, the right one is 297 not 197. It will be a festival back home in 14 days but I will not see it this year.
