In the other letters, multi-page items are labeled from right to left, each time the numbers being together. This is the first item I’ve come across which skips a number (6 to 8) and the text from 8 does not continue what was on 6. So there is certainly a page that goes here between them.
As an American, I’m not particularly familiar with current or past UK currency. However, I think the money amounts described are 3^d (threepence) for Robert and 6^d (sixpence) for Reg. I’ve learned that “d” stands for decimalisation of the pound and shilling.
