Plaque in frame with three medals and one medallion, on right is a picture of a man (Price?) in civilian dress with a dog to his left. In the center is a card which features the Royal coat of arms of the United Kingdom.

...In the top, at the center, above the card is a bronze colored medallion featuring a long robed woman holding a staff tucked under her right arm with her left arm lifted up. Beside her is a lion walking in the direction the woman is facing. Text on the medallion is unlegible from the photo. This medallion is known as the "Dead Man's Penny" and was awarded to the next of kin of those who lost their lives in service.

The medal on the top left is silver in color. It is circular and features a man on a horse holding a sword. The horse is trampling on a shield and a skull & crossbones. The ribbon attached has a broad orange band in the center with thinner white bands outside of that, followed by thin black lines, and faded blue bands on the outsides. This medal is known as the "British War Medal" which was given mostly to those who served between 1914 and 1918.

The medal on the bottom left  is bronze in color. I features a crown occupying the north point of the star. On the face of the medal is a circular wreath with crossed swords. The ribbon has a blue band that morphs into a white band and then morphs into a red band. This medal is the 1914-15 Star.

The medal in the top right of the photograph is bronze in color, It is circular in shape and features a winged woman on its face. The ribbon is a double rainbow with violet stripes on the outsides eventually becoming red in the center. This is known as the "Victory Medal".

GvRI

French inscription in coat of arms, left a lion in a crown, right a unicorn honi mal y pense Dieu et mon Droit ...parts of the scroll circling the arms is covered by various other parts. If fully revealed, it should read "Honi soit qui mal y pense", which is the motto of the Order of the Garter.

The bottom scroll "Dieu et mon droit" is the motto of the Monarch of the United Kingdom.

He whom this scroll commemorates

was numbered among those who,

at the call of King and Country, left all

that was dear to them, endured hardness,

faced danger, and finally passed out of

the sight of men by the path of duty

and self-sacrifice, giving up their own

lives that others might live in freedom.

Let those who come after see to it

that his name be not forgotten.
