  good I can tell you I have been out 

  of the trenches for a few days now

  but we have no rest working all

  the time now we have come nearer

  the line I escpect we shall be in 

  the trenches again on Sun night 

  I would not care if we had finished

  Well my Dear I have not heard from 

  Reg or Emily I wrote to her but she

  never answered it well I have had 

  no letter from anyone only you since

  I wrote to you + did you get my 

  two sisc pences I sent I cant get 

  any orders + the English money 

  is scarce out hear it is all French

  you must kiss Earnie for me

  when I come home if it is my luck 

  which I hope it will be Well My Dear

  I am glad that Amy is going on 

  so well + hope that she will keep so the

  weather will be better now we have 

  had a nice day today the best since 

  I have been out hear + I hope it will 

  keep nice so has to dry up the water

  + mud we had a General inspection

   yesterday we had to clean

  our buttons for the first time I 

  could do with a change of clothes

  as I am farely walking + escpect 

  to get a bath tomorrow so 

  that will be better My dear
