He is dressed in typical blue Army uniform of metal helmet of the type typically issued to infantry soldiers known as 'Adrian', brown leather ammunition webbing and belt around a blue coat that is pinned back at the front bottom. He has put his bayonet on the end of his rifle in readiness for action.
