Heliopolis
Egypt.
March Ist 1914
Dear Father and Mother,
Just a letter to let you knowI am quite well, and hope you are both in
good health. How are Maggie, Kitty,
Mick and Willie. I hope they are quite
well. Tell Uncle Will and Auntie, Auntie
Trahy, and all in Toomaline I was asking
for them.
We sailed from Melbourne on Dec 22ndand had a lovely trip all the way. We
called at Albany, Colombo, Aden, Suez,
Port Said and Alexandria. We saw
some nice scenery along the coast, also in
places some very rough country full of rock
and sand. There were eighteen transport
ships together all the way. The one I was
on was the flagship and we had a fairly
decent time on it. There were several
