walls are built with sand-bags. The roof which is about 6 ft high consists of several sheets of corrugated iron and is supported by two old railway tracks which rest on two opposite walls. For my bed I have three wooden planks, fixed up along one wall, about three feet from the ground. My companion has a similar contraption along the opposite wall. AT the back of the dug-out and between the two bed we have a easy little fire. On this fire

Dennage and three other fellows to supper. The supper was a cold one of roast chicken and they all voted it was the best feed they had since they left England.
