My Dear Agnes,
I am writing these few lines, firstly because it is my duty to write to you, and secondly to remind you that I am still pulling along in the best of good health and good spirits.
I suppose I need not tell you that I enjoyed myself thoroughly and had the time of my life while I was home on leave. I will never forget the kindness I received and the attention which was paid to me; how everybody did their utmost to please me and gratify my wishes, and I knew I was not worthy of such attention. But I can only offer you all my most sincere thanks
Now let me try to describe to you the dug-out which is my 24 Rathdown Rd., at the 19th Siege Battery R.G. A. Well this dug-out of mine is not really a dug-out at all. The
