any one else. Well we have been happy
laddie haven't we? And my companion
is my all. There never has been anyone
else - Auntie + Kate were nonentities -
I couldn't have told them thoughts that
I've expressed to you. Mustn't Kitty + Dick
have missed heaps of happiness by not
having perfect confidence. Well as I've said
before if every girl or woman had had
such a husband as mine, heaven would
be nearer earth.
Now I am going to meet Winnie Carr
and Amy Suggitt. I hate the Spa at night.
I did not mind you know when we went
to read or even walk because you made it
all different. Everywhere became grand when
you were there. I suppose Kitty if she read this
letter would think I was belittling myself to
write such sentences to mere man. But I'm not
there to love him so I'll show him as
much as I can on paper and I am not
ashamed. See? My own. I'll pull that moustache
if it is still there.
Goodnight my own and I hope you will soon
be in England D. V...(V being a roman numeral 5) With all my love.
Your loving wife Muriel.
