it is becoming to be rather chilly on a night
time now. I think it is best to tell you
we are of to make a big Charge this
next month about the 10/th of Sept
our Regiment and a lot more i hope i
have the luck to get safely through
again, so if you do not happen to hear
from me you will know that there
is something the matter. However i
shall write you again before then
I hope we get them well on the
move this time and get them on
the run and kill them by hundreds
so that we shall be able to make
them give in before the Winter sets
on. They have not heard anything of
Ernest yet at Goole have you heard
anything yet. I wish it was all
over as we are dead tired of it
all but we shall have to stick to
it untill we completly crush him.
It makes one wonder though if he will
get safely through to see home again when
he sees a lot of his pals get killed every
