Dear Mother
Just a few lines to let
you know i am quite safe
and well up to the time
of writing I hope you are
all in the best of health
at home. I have come out
of the trenches again safely
after being in 6 dys we are
just behind the fiering
line now for a little rest
We are having lovely
weather on a day time but
