  Mr. Bird asked me if we wanted

  to make some prints together

  I accepted, but had to work

  alone. I was so discusted  disgusted  that

  I could have throughs  thrown  all against

  the wall. This fellow 

  thinks he can make with me

  what he like. Nothing doing

  10.4.17 Aprilwetter Schull & Sonne

  This morning 7 o'clock I 

  started my daily work.

  They started to shell Martin + 

  Hilare and to-night they

  shoot also on our left. Perhaps

  we receive something

  too. All because we are 

  doing the same thing.

  Since yesterday a big battle

  near Arras started. Our

  offensive is near too, they

  are getting nervous and big

  shooting is on in direction

  Reims. Got 2 papers and parcel

  from H+H. No mail from Match.

  What's wrong again?

  Finished another book from 

  H. Seidel : Faubourg relations.

  Very nicely written. Everybody

  got his girl at the end.

  11.4.17  Ihr windig.  Abouchudlaune  

  Last night I had to get out

  the bed suddenly for they shelled

  our environs very much. At 

  last I went to bed all the same.

  Did not sleep nice for shooting

  continued till morning.

  Soon away they were going. Nothing 

  happened at our barracks, but

  at South II. they had 2 dead 8 blessed  French: blessé = wounded 

  this morning. Perhaps we move

  to-day.

  12.4.17 Shone Wetter

  Last evening about 5 o'clock

  we suddenly moved or I said

  packed for its a hard thing to

  stow all those things away.
