  much as Karenina. When 

  I went to 2 M.G.R. somebody

  yodeled far away, I answered,

  and he answered back with 

  a nice yodel. It was very nice

  same as in Switzerland. At 

  night the rats were very lively.

  Franzman schoss has and me

  smelt it in our barracks. When

  we awoke this morning at 8:15 all

  was white outside. Winter had

  returned. Papers + letter from Father.

  29.3.17 Schnee + Regen

  I not took my breakfast, 6 Buttered

  toasted slice of bread. My dinner

  went to the devil by falling down.

  Take some dry bread. Looked

  some heels myself. But ---

  then a big and fat package 

  arrived with fat + marmelade.

  2 cutlets. 1 bottle Hungarian

  wine. Cigarettes. The other night

  I dreamed of a dentist. Since 

  a couple of days I can bit so

  one tooth getting ill. It is raining

  all afternooon. Send 1 parcel home.

  30.3.17

  Aprilwetter. Regen in Sonneschein

  After a night, where I slept not so

  nice, the rats disturbed me, I am

  afraid they jumble on my head again.

  I got up at 7:45. Washing took about

  1 hour. Breakfast too, it was a little

  butter as usual. Fat and marmelade.

  I came back from Martin-Hilaire at

  noon. Had 2 porc  pork cutlets for dinner.

  Because our dinner is only ready

  at 5 o'clock now. Went out twice

  to get wood, came in the rain

  and was wet, but all the same 

  I went out again, I liked it.

  To look for water was the next work.

  Then I bought 1/2 doz. eggs and

  1/2 #  pound  fat. M5.25. We can allow a us

  such things as we make money

  with the photos. The different ways 2

  fellows talked about their visit to

  Bruxelles was very interesting.
