Relative Losses of the Allies

Official figures published in connection

with the losses sustained in the war by

Italy show, says the Rome correspondent of

the Central News, that the Italian losses for

killed, which amount to 460,000, represent

1.2 per cent. of the total population.

The 1, 071,000 French dead show a similar

percentage on the population of France,

while the British losses, placed at 668, 704,

give a percentage of 0.15.

In every case the population of the

Colonies are included for the puposes of

working out the percentages.

"Ancient Prophecies"

In the book of Daniel it is written - "Blessed is he that

waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred & five

& thirty days" - how the year 1335 of the higira  Arabic calendar  , is the

1917 of the Christian era, the year in which Jerusalem

was freed. And there is an old Arab saying

which reads - "When the Nile flows into Palestine

then shall the prophet from the west drive the Turk

from Jerusalem". When this prophecy was made

it  must have seemed utterly impossible that the

waters of the Nile should ever flow over two hundred

miles of desert into Palestine. But the pipe line

laid by the Turkish Army brought the Nile water

from Kantara & just before the capture of Jer-

usalem this water from Egypt was being pumped

into Palestine north of Gaza at the rate of thousands

of gallons a day - Then " the prophet" in arabic

is Al Hebi & General Allenby was known as

Al Hebi by the entire native population - So the

old prophecy was fulfilled to the letter.

Our London men were the successors of Richard Coeur-de-Lion

the 1st crusaders & well parched missing& missing  led their

camels the way of Old Testament history using the Bible as their

guide book. From their base at Kantara they followed the oldest

caravan route across the desert of Sinai from Gaza to Jerusalem

It was this way "Moses" guided the Israelites when they left Egypt

The same road Joseph & Mary & the infant Jesus came into

Egypt to escape Herod. Napoleon led his army along

this road when he attempted to capture Palestine, he left the

houses of many french soldiers to whither in the desert sun

but our British troops & Australians & Indians passed

along with forty six thousand horses, 40,000 camel, 15,000 mules

& three thousand five hundred donkeys carrying the water
