The C.C.C. Contd.
Pleasure must end - Down below we must dwell
In vain we muttered a cuss.
That it was too rough, we cared not a hang
A Waac could never be ill.
Lasses in khaki must ne'er feel a pain
Be gay + ne'er need a pill.
OH. - The scene soon changed it was all in vain
And soon it was a bad case.
This small band of Waacs all soon felt a pain
And surprised looked every face.
Now into her bunk each khaki girl crept
Declaring she'd go to sleep.
Longing for "DEATH" very soon they all wept
Even to die in the deep.
Many grabbing for lemons soon were seen
Others less lucky cried "share."
Now over her bunk some poor wretch would lean
shouting "If dead I'd not care."
Then green in the face, her lemon she'd grab
Hopeless though + all in vain
And the nearest one's TIN she'd try to nab
That tin that relieved her pain
Countless the hours to that motley crew
(more curiosity please)
