  Dear Sir Arthur

       I was very pleased to receve you letter Afli such a long interval it must be months

  since I received a warm letter from ^you this had 

  been opened by the Censor before it reached

  me I have got you papers for the last 3

  weeks whole, for a long time prior to that

  I simply got parts + these principally

  adverts the last 3 Week have come un opened

  but some time ago I mut have believe being

  between 2 or 3 months without then I think I

  got about  6 in one day

  I have instructed the Weekly Telegraph

  to be forwarded to you for the next 3

  months this being the only way that fr

  newspapers can me legally sent out of

  England I never see the paper myself but

  I think you will get as much information

  out of that as I should be allowed to

  send, Herbert sent you his photograph

  when he was in uniform but the letter 

  was stopped and returned to him

  We  are all very busy + shorthanded at

  the works but I have 8 men a present +

  a decent lot of men all the way round. 3 of

  them been men you do not know the old stag
