killed and a few injured. Tug arrived on scene and took her in tow stern first we passed a wire over to assist in steering her then made for Salonika.Jan 25th Arrived Salonika 11am. Left again 1:50pm returned to patrol arriving 11:30pm.
Jan 26th Left patrol 11am at noon sighted mine off port bow sank it and arrived Moudros 2:30pm.
Jan 27th 28th At Moudros.
Jan 29th Left at 7:30am for patrol very heavy sea running At 5pm Turks opened fire at
.Jan 30th 31st On Dards patrol.
Feb 1st Arrived Moudros at noon.
Feb 2nd 3rd At Moudros.
Feb 4th Left for patrol at 7:30am. At 10:30am large explosion observed off Anzac apparently one of our mines blew up. Fury sent to investigate enemy opened fire. shots very accurate, they must be bucking up in gunnery. At 1:30pm a tug seen in straits. she generally appears when their subs are expected. At 3:50pm another explosion in same vicinity, something must be hitting our mines very likely submarines.
Feb 5th 6th On patrol. Bad weather.
Feb 7th Should be going in but no relief NE gale blowing.
Feb 8th Arrived Moudros at 2:30pm and glad of it.
Feb 9th 10th At Moudros.
Feb 11th Left at 7:30am for patrol.
Feb 12th On patrol. At 1pm trawler made signal submarine in sight to Northward, went in search for him but no find returned to patrol arriving
Feb 13th On patrol. very heavy explosion up Straits. Enemy opened fire on us during forenoon shots very close astern of us. At 1:30pm enemy again opened fire shots falling direct in our wake and very close.
Feb 14th Arrived Moudros at noon.
Feb 15th 16th At Moudros.
Feb 17th Left at 10pm in company with Triad VA on board.
Feb 18th Left Triad at 6:45am at Stavos and proceeded to Salonika going up gulf spotted a French seaplane in water in difficulties took him in tow and turned him over to French destroyer at boom. Arrived Salonika 5pm. Hostile aeroplane overhead. Got underway at 6pm in company with Implacable but she heard a buzz a couple of
waiting for her at boom so anchored Feb 19th Hostile aeroplane paid us a visit
