Personal war diary of Nathaniel John Wakeham

The contributor's father was Nathaniel John Wakeham who served in the Navy as a signalman aboard HMS Comet from August 4th, 1914 until the ship sunk in 1918. He was on board, his diary states, when the ship was struck by two torpedoes. The diary provides a "rough log" of Nathaniel's service from the start of the War through to 1918. The book that he used for his diary was obtained from a German sailor and is a log book for naval calculations "Nautisches Berechnungs-Buch". The contributor believes that Nathaniel was possibly born in 1886.
