Note
The Mark I primer differs from Mark II in the
head being recessed to receive a brass chamber containing
a cap, this cap chambre forms the anvil and has three
fire holes; it is connected with the gunpowder charge
in the body by a channel which contains a soft ball
in a coned seating and which forms the sealing chamber.
