hot.) several exploding too near to be,

pleasant.

Battery all, day.

2-30 pm to 3-30 pm. shells falling all,

around. 1 falling in no 4 gun-pit, gun

in Ordnance. another 30 yds from Sleeping

Quarters. (own). (Elman and myself) 3

fell 2 yards from Mess, did not explode.

until several feet in earth, otherwise

Mess should have been minus. Sgt Major

Quarter Master's office, just in front of farm

struck and badly damaged.

Church service under Pear Tree at farm

200 rounds on Hostile Battery
