9 rounds on Distillery.

Moat Farm. laying wires. from 5pm till 3am.

gas-shells had to wear gas respirator 30 mins.

Front line trench being held by one battalion

whereas 3 should be there. 1 man every 25 yds.

one man every 40 yards in second line.

Mid-night only saw sentry. snipers. machine-gun

men. for nearly a mile


March 11. Sunday.

Battery C. Observation balloon attacked

by and brought down in flames, by 4 Hun

areoplanes, men escaped uninjured.

200 rounds on Trenches

8           -        -   Hostile Battery


March 12. Monday.

200 rounds on Front - Support Trenches

12         '         '   Working party

Enemy replied with 25 gas-shells

orderly officer for today
