York has been placed out of bounds, but I'm not certain
+ I'm leaving the pass until I know. I shall then have
to try + make some other move! The April commissions
have commenced coming in, but I've heard no word yet.
Fybe is going. No word for Robb either. Well it's maybe
for the best also! Contts does look annoyed at me every
time they pick a draft. I could almost laugh. I was
up on the Young officers' parade on Saturday last. We
get Company Drill etc + then practice in giving commands
You would roar with laughing! The voices range from
that of the nature of a cock sparrow, to that of a bull
elephant. I see Sec. Lieut Hislop is going on his draft
leave this week - so he hasn't been long. Well, lassie,
I shall have to think about closing to make certain
of this evening's post. Somebody is, strangely enough, just
playing a lullaby on the piano! Well, it's the consummation
of all our love + hopes, isn't it, Muriel, but now it's here,
- well. I pray God that all will go well, - with you at
any rate. But I know it will! Won't it be just grand!
Cheer up + God bless you, lass. With all my love, +
a good hug.
Your own,
Stan.
