and she told Norah she would not marry into
such a family. Leah in her opinion was no
good and a brother of George's who is a manager
of a cinematograph at Leeds and over here
at present looks like a corner boy and loafer.
Then Norah turns round and says that
there's no need to say anything when there
is such a one as your Aunt Kate. Norah
told her mother that she was only doing the
same as she had done. But your mother
said Mr Green was steady. Norah is awfully
bitter when she starts so started saying that
nobody in the family had married suitably
for your mother. Kitty flushed + Norah said
she would say what Mrs Green had expressed
and vicer-versa so things grew somewhat
hot. It ended by Mrs Green telling Norah she
would "smack her mouth" if she didn't give up
I felt inclined to crack out laughing but
kept my face quite straight and refrained
from passing any remark whatever. Today
N. has gone with George's sister to Forge
Valley. So much for breakfast.
Mrs Green Mrs B + myself then went shopping.
