Officer came down with parachute.
He was (the french aeroplane) was in not
under fire, but escaped. Saw a nice
sunset. The powder clouds
passing by looking like hell. Came
back tired but did not sleep
so nice.
7.4.17 Bedeckter Himel. Leichter Regen
Kalter Wind
I went down to Martha. Back
out for wood and water. Then I
cooked our meal. Potatoes, flocks,
orge French: barley and leeks with butter and some
beans left from yesterday. Dinner
very nice and plenty. After that I
sawed wood again. Music played.
About 7 I started again to Martha.
Heard some nice violin concert. I stayed
till 10 o'clock, coming back I eat.
Ablin Mierisch promised me a bread for
to-morrow. I was tired while coming
I yawned but now I don't want for
go to bed. Expected some mail, but
did not get any. What's the matter.

8.4.17 Shones Wetter
Made my Sunday morning promenade.
Got a bread from Albin.
In the afternoon I sat before my
door reading a book. There was
big shouting in the afternoon.
They send some Easter eggs but
our aviators brought them back
at night. About 1/2 doz. went over.
We saw a big fire. Got no mail except
a paper. Egg cost 40/pkg to-day.

After a night where I slept not so
nice (rats) I awoke 9:00. Felt fine.
Was all wet when I came back.
I could hardly walk in the big
wind. Afternoon I went to B.L.Th.
I got half a package of sugar. Cost -
but nothing else to eat. In the evening
