That's no war, that's: having vacation.

To-day I went in the morning

to Martin as I could not take a

bath as I intended to. I made

one home myself. And that bath

or I don't know what it is, made

me so happy. After the bath I

took a little nap and then I

read and read till now (9 o'clock)

in that beautifully written book

a scene described there just reminded

me to one equally

the same which happened to me

once: I arrived at L. Sch. came

along the street asking for the

house I wanted to go. Suddenly

I saw, far away, a face on a

window, that's she, I thought.

I marched on. At the door,

something came out, looked

at me, laughed, put her hand

round my neck and kissed

me, and I kissed her too. It

was Clara the girl I came to see

Right page

after 4 years absence. She was so

glad and happy and smiled all

over her face. Asked me questions

Do you know, and do you remember?

Sometimes she was

looking in front of her, saying

nothing, and when I asked her

what she was doing, she said:

Oh I just was thinking of something.

And I was so cold. Took

every kindness as certain and

everything must have been that

way and could not be otherwise....

Prints from H + H arrived.

So weit wie heute hat man sellen

sehen komen. I made A.A.F.

went home with him, he told me

that A. Fritsche is at 3rd Camp. Was

a little disgusted don't know why.

Our band played this afternoon and

that made me happy again. Read
