   My dear old Vi

  I must now write

& thank you ever so much for 

the two parcels, which I received

yesterday quite safe. well dear

you put in just the things I 

like so you can bet I enjoyed

them. well old Vi I had such

a nice box with some cigaretts

in from peggie so I am just going

after I have finished all I have

got because I like a pipe alot

better. well Vi dear the weather

is now very grand but it

is very cold, there is not much

new dear but I will write to

you again in a day or two. so

give my love to old Ted, Gracie,

Lucy, Grannie, & also your darling

self. hoping you are all quite

well, as I am. a. i.
