Nine-thirty we left "La Feasant" for camp
T'was nine that we should have been there
But sliding down slopes by light from the lamp
Was far greater fun, when we dare.

Bert Roth was a boy who rarely did spoon
But loved to walk home by the light of the moon
So just to repay for the feasts we had had
We loved by this way to repay the dear lad.

So Tuesdays + Thursdays as often as not
Two Waacs would go hurrying up to this spot
To start at 7-30 + end up at 10.0
And slide down the bank to escape those men
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We've had good times in Blighty + Paris + Tours
At St Avertin + the Cher + the Moors
So here's to the heath of those Field Clerks
