  T"was the 31st of Jan,

   A day I won't forget.

  T'was the day of my admission

  With pains in the side + chest.

  The Doctor he examined me,

  Then said upstairs he goes.

  They put me in cot 23.

  Then stripped me of my clothes.

  I then was washed all over.

  Clean clothes they put me on.

  Then tucked me in + left me.

  To sleep + rest till morn.

  Since then I've had some ups

       + downs

  But I am pleased to say.

  That its due to their skillful

       treatment.

  Ward 4 it is a good one.

  The best that we can find.

  Its floors are polished up + down.

  And the Nurses are so kind.
