reached Cologne on the 22nd of Novem-

ber 1918 and got a train for Elberfeld.

I've got a position as corresponding

clerk (English and French) now, but not

more at the same firm I wrote

you of in my last letter

And I feel happy in my new

position very much, whenever my

dream of becoming a teacher has

not been fulfilled. You write that

you've resumed your civil employment

and that you feel very lucky in it

which enjoys me very much. And yet

I do not know what is your employ-

ment at all. In Cantin I once asked

you for it but I couldn't under-

stand your answer, because, at that

time, I could hardly understand
