hospital should be strafed, as
they don't seem to know where
they are well off, and they take
advantages of good things. I wrote
to Mr. Austin, but I have never
heard anything from him yet. My
people have had a fright lately
a big piece of iron dropped in
the yard from a Zeppelin bomb
and the next day they heard
I was killed. Cheerful. Well
Annie I must not grumble, I
have had a long run for my
money, and I hope I shall be
lucky enough to scrape through
safely. Remember me kindly to
all at home, and hoping all
are in the pink, I must close
so kindly excuse scribble, as I am
in a hurry, so wishing you all a
merry Xmas I remain your sincere
friend Will Elbourn
