Tuesday Sep 11 Out working

until 11 pm. near Ypres Fritz

sent about 2 dozen shells over.

one burst about 20 yards away

no one killed narrow escape.

Wed Sep 12           No work for our

Thursday Sep 13  party.

Friday Sep 14 Workign at

No 90  Battery on Bus house hill

Fritz started shelling & one burst

about 30 yards away, one fellow

had his hand cut, another

struck in his side no one killed

Saturday Sep 15 Working at No. 218

Battery. Fritz sent a few shells

over. his aeroplanes dropped

bombs about 1/2 mile away.

Sunday Sep 16 Not out working

was charged by Sergeant Danee for not

shaving & using supposed insolence

got 3 days fatigue. did nothing
