we sailed at 6pm escorting Implacable.
Feb 20th At 3am Implacable reported ship keeping station with her so she turned 16 points and sent us to investigate, but could not see no ship. "Must be all in lost onbard her" Turned again at 6:25am and arrived Moudros 10:50am. Left again at 9:30pm escorting Lord Nelson.
Feb 21st Arrived Salonika boom left Lord Nelson at 10:15am to rejoin VA at Stavros at full speed ran with a heavy sea and had to ease down. Subs reported off Stratis Island arrived Stavros 4am. HMS Princess Alberta bring Triads mails to Stevcos was mined or torpedoed of Stratis Is.
Feb 22nd At Stavros Raglan Edgar
carried out a Great Strafe on enemies positions on River Struma finishing at 5pm. [ River Struma flows into northern Aegean ]
Feb 23rd At Stavros. Edgar bombarded up Struma.
Feb 24th At Stavros. Raglan bombarded. No a bad job this being VA's yacht, only heavy swell on all the time cocking gunwhales under.
Feb 25th Embarked VA Thursby and his staff and left Stavros at 11am. for Haso arriving 1pm . Left Haso 3pm. trawler reported hostile seaplane attacking He sent live planes up from Haso. Trawler reported enemy's seaplane brought down on land. We made towards Kavola and the right down coast to for VA to inspect carryings on ashore. Bulgars must be having half a holiday no good afternoon greetings from them arriving at Stavros 5:0pm.
Feb 26th At Stavros. Raglan bombarded. Gave leave to have a look round the trenches.
Feb 27th At Stavros. Edgar bombarded.
Feb 28th At Stavros. Heavy bombardment going on all night with land batteries and small monitors.
March 1st 2nd At Stavros.
March 3rd Left Stavros 6am escorting Triad arrived Salonika 6:15pm.
March 4th Taken in hand for boiler cleaning by Lord Nelson. at 8:10am aboout 10 hostile aeroplanes overhead they dropped bombs on our camps hitting hospital on the Monistic coast and killed about 30 wounded. Three of them were brought down by gunfire.
March 5th At 2:30pm Hostile plane over head but was driven off.
March 6th 7th 8th At Salonika boiler cleaning.
March 9th 10th 11th Nothing doing.
March 12th At 4:30pm Hostile aeroplane overhead. Left Salonika 10:30pm escorting Lord Nelson.
