April 30th On patrol.
May 1st At 7:30pm Hostile aeroplanes paid us a visit and dropped bombs for a past time. Driven off by shore batteries.
May2nd Left patrol and arrived Moudros 1:30pm. Hostile aircraft over Moudros. Received signals to raise steam by 4:45am complete with stores tons of ... floating about.
May 3rd Left Moudros at 4:45amin company with Renaid and Grampus met Lowestaft at entrance and took up submarine screen and proceeded to Bulgarian coast At noon Lowestoft dropped line seaplanes which went over and dropped bombs on works where submarines were being built. on returning one seaplane fell into sea, pilot saved, also machine but was badly damaged. Left Bulgarian coast at 2:30pm and arrived Moudros 7pm. During operations 5 or 6 hostile aeroplane over head bombs were dropped but no damage done to ships.
May 4th Left Moudros 11am for patrol.
May 5th Zeppelin appeared over Salonica and was destroyed by gunfire. At 5pm Monitor 14 fired a few rounds at Gabal Tekel.
May 6th On patrol. Grafton Abercrombie and ... bombarded along the coast After they had finished we asked if they had any luck Replied yes satifactory shore batteries did not return fire hostile aeroplane dropped bombs near Grafton but no damage.
May 7th Left Patrol embarked 7 Turkish prisoners and arrived Moudros 2:30pm.
May 8th At Moudros.
May 9th Left for patrol Keplolo light reported gas pipes had been cut no sign of any one knocking about Submarines reported by SS. Redmore Head off Moudros he was chased but got clear.
May 10th At 12:30pm proceeded to Teveocos obtained some positions of gun emplacements opposite then went close over to Asiatic shore and spotted about 80 men working so we dispersed them with a few rounds While looking after this a friend of ours further down sent along a few pills but he got no hits. Finished bombardment at 4pm returned to Tenedos but on arrival shore station told us enemy was returning so about turn again when within 300 yards of beach we spotted them running along their trenches
