Dec 16th/ Divers examined propeller, reports not back

enough to dock. so prepared for sea. Report from

G.H.Q. Damage done during week by  Turks at Yami Sele

2 killed 3 wounded 2  tents destroyed  and 3 horses picked

not led for the amount of ammunition they fired about

300 rounds of 11" inch.

Dec. 17th" Left  Moudros at 10 AM embarked  Wing Captain

and mails took them to Keplol then to patrol

arriving 6 P.M. took up position on right flank of

French Army Turkish Batteries were very active

during the right.

Dec 18th" Patrolling between Seddul Baki and Jenni Sheki 

Turks bombarding Seddul Bake all day doing by all

accounts plenty of damage plenty of their rounds

falling short and giving us a good time.  At 6pm took

up patrol of Kume Kale but nothing happened during 

the night except the usual greetings about every four 

hours.  At 7pm Hostile submarine in Suvla Bay but 

he got clear.

Dec 19th   Left patrol at 8am for Moudros.  Trawler

reported submarine off Cape Irene (Cape just outside 

Moudros) had a look for him but no see we arrived 

Moudros 12:30pm.

Dec 20th   Left Moudros 11:30am to relieve on patrol

arrived 3:30pm and took up station on Right Flank

Turks opened fire on one of our troopships disembarking

troops we covered them, shells dropping like rain

and almost hitting but Trooper finished her job and we

advanced again into our position.  At Suvla Bay  --- 

Anzac air troops were withdrawn only casualties

being three men wounded.  

Dec 21st   Very heavy sea and SE gale nothing doing 

during the day. At 6pm took up patrol on 

Asiatic side and very heavy artillery duel going on shore 

we opened fire at Kuma Kale but got no reply from 

there.  A 9pm a dozen motor lighters broke adrift 

So us and Fury were detailed to look for them but 

it was pitch dark and could see nothing.   

Dec 22nd   Still searching for lighters one lighter found 

crew safe except on stoker missing.  Arrived back 

patrol at 11:30am.  Took up patrol on Asiatic side

opened fire at intervals but no reply from Batteries. 

Dec 23rd   At 2:30pm submarine E11 returned from

up Dardenelles being away a month we escorted  her

to Moudros arriving at 4pm. 

Dec 24th   Nothing doing commenced 5 days boiler cleaning.

Dec 25th   Very dry but made the best of it.

Dec 27th   Hostile aircraft overhead but driven off. 

Dec 28th   Boiler cleaning completed.  Prepared for sea
