Does he still stick to the old "mutton chops"?

Does the chorus of "A Broken Doll"

commence into "You called me baby

doll a year ago"? yes, it is a great

favourite with the Auzacs out here + 

was sung at these concerts. I also

took a fancy to it. Did you all get

your walk to Hayburn Wyke

yesterday? It would be glorious if

the weather was as good as here.

I should think it recalled old memories

didn't it lassie?  Do you remember

the rustic shelter as you get well

down towards the beach? Well,

"Another little walk then wouldn't do

us any harm" + we'll have it yet, see?

We had the 'phone again yesterday.

One song was about a fellow who, being

troubled with not being able to remember

his house number when he came

home late, took the number off + carried 

it with him! As he said he only had

to find the door to which it belonged!

He said he was "threatened with
