  My dear Mu.,

  I have just now wakened

  up to the fact that it is Sunday from

  writing the date above! I have been

  mess orderly all day - drawing the food,

  washing up, washing the kitchen floor,

  scouring the edges etc! Don't you

  wish you could see me? You'd have

  to laugh, bless you! Still I did find

  time to have a good hot bath this

  afternoon which is a great treat out

  here. I am getting my hair cut

  tomorrow, by one of the other patients

  who "professes" to be able to make

  a good job of it - so I expect when

  you see me I shall look like convict

  99 - if not worse! Never mind,

  lass, the moustache still flourishes,

  so don't lose heart! (ah.ha) Yes
