but no one could catch the man. The cheques
were for large amounts such as £113-£50-£35
Infact four cheques went. But Mr Green
has got duplicate and the first ones sent by
all the firms have been stopped.
Norah has had a silver plated bag bought.
Of course after this Mrs B must needs go
into a shop to price some. They were 25/-
and Norah's was 30/-. The silver ones
were 70/- So now Mrs B is buying herself
a silver one. Bow wow. I think Mrs B is
jealous of your family for everything they get
she never seems to like it. Mrs Green's Harris
Tweed doesn't suit her. Evelyn's new hat
looks like an old one - Norah's bag is a
swindle, and so on. At breakfast Mrs
Green cracked out suddenly and said
'Yes but Mrs B cannot recon you up
Muriel - she gets quite shifty when you
tease her!" I tell you Stanley I don't
half pull her leg and she cannot make
out whether I am serious or I am making
jokes all the time. You should see her at
every turn say "what do you think Muriel?"
